The EME market has focused on the availability of pre-cut
gaskets and includes a number of different expanded graphite styles.
What are the difference between a gasket with stainless steel
inserts (as the Duragraf types) and the 459 Gasket type?
The Duragraf is ideal to cut on a machine but are harder to
cut by hand.
The Style 459 is a very popular product, is due to its
excellent operating parameters and above all the ease that the gasket can be
cut manually.
Style 459 is made from high purity expanded graphite and is
reinforced with a 0,026 mm thick nickel flat reinforcement, when the Duragraf F
is made with a 0,05 mm stainless steel flat insert (0,1mm for the Duragraf T)
