Chesterton Anti-Seize in their Bolting Guideline

With some 1,700 member companies the German chemical industry association Verband der Chemischen Industrie (VCI) represents over 90 percent of the chemical-pharmaceutical industry in Germany in terms of turnover. In 2018 the industry realised sales of over 204billion euros and employed ca.462,000 staff. The VCI has 22 sector associations covering all product groups of the industry as well as 8 regional associations. This makes the VCI one of the three major industry organisations in Germany.

The VCI publishes guidelines for their members, which are typically also used in other industries.

Since 2014 VCI publishes a guideline for Good Manufacturing Practice for Bolting Flange Assemblies. Read guideline here

Below are parts of the guideline, which may look very familiar for Chesterton Specialists.

 

 

In this guideline, the VCI publishes a list of recommended Anti-Seizes. Chesterton has 4 Anti-Seizes present which is the most listed by any company. It should be also noted, that Chesterton’s 785FG is the only Food  Grade anti seize in that listing at all.
